Prior to this class, I have used technology for almost everything I do in life. Living in the twenty first century, it is very important to have an understanding of all different types of technology. It could be as simple as calling someone or sending a quick text. As we know many of us are on our phones constantly, either on social media, playing a game, or maybe even doing something for school. Since starting college, all of my work has used a form of technology. I am very happy to have had the chance to learn Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and even a little bit of Excel. Because of this, I feel I will be better prepared for my future career and the different technological aspects that come along with it.

Throughout this semester, I believe this class will help to teach us not only about how technology is used in every classroom, but also how teachers use technology behind the scenes. I am excited to learn about the formatting of assignments and different spread sheets that are needed to not only teach, but keep track of the children’s pace in the classroom.

I found the learning style questionnaire to have an interesting assortment of questions. Based on my personality, I was not overly surprised to have been placed as a reflective learner. For the sensing category, I scored an 11, which was very high. I could understand why this is the case, and I feel as though it matches the choices I make when learning and studying. Based on my previous education, I was aware that I am a very visual leaner. I need to have the information put in front of me in order to succeed. Although everyone learns differently, I have always found this to be a very helpful tool. Finally, for the sequential and global category, I was strongly placed on the sequential side. This is because I like to work things out in the order they happen or will take place. I need to complete one thing at a time before being able to move on. These are all skills that have helped me in the past and will continue to work for me in the future.
